Making air fried cauliflower is incredibly simple! Whether you are tossing it in herbs and spices or a scrumptious sauce, the cook time and temperature remain the same.

When cooking air fryer cauliflower, remember these primary variables.

Temperature: 400°F (204°C)

Time: 12 minutes (or more for larger florets)

Turn Halfway? Yes

Oil Needed? Yes for getting herbs and seasonings to stick / No if using a sauce

Ingredients and Substitutions

A little olive oil and lemon and lots of salt, pepper and fresh herbs are all it takes to bring out the flavors of this air fried cauliflower.

While this recipe uses a mix of fresh parsley and thyme, you can use your favorite seasonings or sauce.

Cauliflower has a mild taste. It takes on the flavors or the seasonings it's cooked with, so make sure to use plenty of them. Cauliflower is versatile and goes well with nearly any herb, sauce, and seasoning.

There is no need to change the air frying time if swapping out ingredients.

How To Convert Fresh Herbs to Fresh Herbs

The general rule of thumb is to use one-third the amount of dried herb for the fresh herb called for. For example, if the recipe calls for 3 tablespoons of fresh parsley, use 1 tablespoon dry parsley. If a recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs, use 1 teaspoon dried.

Step-By-Step Directions

First, wash the cauliflower and cut it into ½ to 1 inch pieces. Dry them as best you can.

Then toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs/seasonings. If using a sauce, there is no need to use olive oil.

Add cauliflower to the basket or tray of the air fryer. Set to 400° Fahrenheit for 12 minutes. Toss at the halfway mark.

Remove cauliflower from the air fryer and squeeze with lemon. Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, chopped into ½ inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 3 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1 lemon

Instructions
 

  • Wash, dry, and cut the cauliflower.
  • Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  • Add to the basket or tray of the air fryer. Set to 400° Fahrenheit (204°C) for 12 minutes. Toss halfway through.
  • When done, remove from air fryer and squeeze with lemon. Toss and serve.

Notes

Alternatively, use your favorite seasonings or sauce. There is no need to change the air frying time if swapping out ingredients.

Storing

Air fryer cauliflower will keep in the fridge for 5-7 days. This makes it great for meal prepping or planning ahead. Reheat in the air fryer or microwave.
