Like most vegetables, cooking corn on the cob in your air fryer is incredibly simple. From preparation to serving, it takes about 15 minutes. This is my favorite way to make corn- it's quicker and tastier than boiling corn.
This classic summer vegetable can't be any better than when it's cooked in the air fryer. Rub with butter, sprinkle with salt and serve with your favorite summer meals, like an air fried ribeye steak or grilled citrusy marinated chicken.

Ingredients
You need just 4 simple ingredients:
- Corn on the cob
- Butter
- Salt
- Pep
Plus your choice of seasonings or fresh herbs, like chives and parsley. They taste wonderful on warm freshly roasted corn on the cob. All you really need though, is some salt, pepper and butter to make delicious corn on the cob!
Should I Season The Corn Before Or After Air Frying?
The corn should be rubbed before cooking with a little olive oil or melted butter to help roast it til tender. Beyond that, seasonings are best added once cooking is done. This is particularly true for salt or seasoning rubs that contain salt. These can break down the enzymes in the corn kernels and cause them to wither or shrivel. Another reason to season corn once it's done cooking is so that everyone can flavor theirs according to their preference. You can certainly add seasonings prior to cooking if that's what you'd like, though.
Can I Use Frozen Corn On The Cob?
Absolutely! Add a few minutes to the cook time when air frying frozen corn.

Don't Over Or Under Cook
Keep in mind that every air fryer is different and cooks at varying speeds. For the first time cooking any recipe, get to know your air fryer by constantly checking in on the food and monitoring the results. Your air fryer may need more or less time than mine.

How To Air Fry Corn On The Cob
This is a simple 3-step recipe.
- Remove the husks from the corn. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F / 204°C.
- Rub the husked corn ears with melted butter or olive oil. Place into the air fryer basket and set the timer to 12 minutes. Flip corn halfway through cooking. Check corn for tenderness at 12 minutes. If more time is needed, air fry additionally in 1 minute increments.
- Remove corn using tongs and transfer to a serving plate. Season with salt, black pepper, more butter, fresh herbs or grated cheese. Serve warm.
How To Store
Store corn on the cob wrapped in foil in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or air fryer.
