A Banana Peach Smoothie is one of our favorite breakfast, lunch or snack time smoothies. This recipe is made with only 4 ingredients and is quick and simple to make in any blender. Smoothies are a refreshing way to stay energized and hydrated, and to keep snack time wholesome and healthy!
Peach smoothies are one of favorites, along with a mango pineapple smoothie, pineapple banana smoothie, and peach milkshakes. Try our peach muffins with one!
You can make this recipe with or without dairy. We love using almond milk, oat milk, and even coconut water when making smoothies. Each gives it a slightly different taste and texture, so whatever we're in the mood for (or have on hand) is what we go with.
You can make smoothies as thin or as thick and creamy as you'd like. I talk about the basic recipe for making delicious customizable fruit smoothies in my mango strawberry banana smoothie post, so make sure to check that out too. Especially if you'd like to add other fruits or liquids to this recipe.

Ingredients
This banana peach smoothie uses 4 simple ingredients:
- Peaches, fresh, frozen, or canned
- Bananas
- Milk
- Yogurt
If you'd like to garnish your smoothie, fresh mint leaves and/or whipped cream taste delicious.
Do I Need To Peel The Peaches?
You can use peeled or peaches with their skin if using fresh peaches. High powered blenders will blend the skins into the liquid so well you won't even notice a different. There is a lot of nutrients and flavor in the skin, so I say keep them on!
Are Smoothies Better With Milk Or Water?
Smoothies are great with both milk and water depending on the type you use. I don't suggest using plain water for fresh fruit smoothies as it won't add any flavor or nutritional benefits. We love our smoothies with organic coconut water. Smoothies made with milk are great too, but milk will add calories and fat depending on which milk you use. For a low fat smoothie, use skim milk or reduced fat milks. Plant based milks are a good alternative.
Which Type Of Peaches Are Best?
Fresh fruit, frozen fruit and canned fruit all work well in smoothies. You may need to adjust the amount of liquid though, depending on how thin or thick you like your smoothies. Frozen fruit makes a thicker more frothy smoothie while fresh and canned fruit tends to yield a smoothie with a thinner consistency. Play with the recipe until you get the consistency how you prefer.
Kristina's Tips
- Use fruits that blend easily and well, like strawberry, mango, peach, banana, pineapple and coconut. Fruits like raspberry and blueberry make good smoothies too but their skins and seeds can leave you with a more textured smoothie (which is totally fine if you don't mind!).
- Use milk or non-dairy milks for a thicker, creamier smoothie, and flavored waters for a thinner smoothie.

Step-By-Step Instructions
Making a banana peach smoothie is quick and easy.
- Add all ingredients to the blender, in the order your blender suggests.
- Blend on high speed for 60-90 seconds, or until the fruit has been completely blended and is smooth.
- Pour, garnish with fresh mint leaves, whipped cream or maraschino cherries if desired, and enjoy!
Banana Peach Smoothie Variations
- Make it thinner: use a little more liquid.
- Make it thicker: use a little more fruit and a little less liquid. A tablespoon of chia seeds or protein powder will also thicken it a bit. Smoothies made with Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt will also be thicker.
- Non-dairy: use coconut water and dairy-free yogurt.
- Flavoring: give it a hint of vanilla flavor by using a teaspoon or two of vanilla extract, vanilla protein powder or vanilla almond milk.
