Our Mango Strawberry Banana Smoothie is made with 5 wholesome, real ingredients in just a few minutes in the blender. Fruit smoothies are healthy and a great way to get your family to eat their fruits without complaint. Pair a small smoothie with breakfasts like an egg and cheese burrito or cream cheese danish. Or enjoy a large smoothie as a full meal.
You can make our mango strawberry banana smoothie a few ways. Make it thin or thick, with dairy or without. You can customize it to taste more like strawberry or more like mango, or somewhere in between.
Smoothies are also a great way to clean out the fridge of fresh fruit before it goes bad or putting inexpensive frozen fruit to good use. Depending on the canned or fresh seasonal fruit we have, we vary our smoothies between pineapple banana smoothies, mango pineapple smoothies, and peach smoothies.

- Add all ingredients to the blender, in the order your blender suggests.
- Blend on high speed for 60-90 seconds, or until fruit has been completely blended and is smooth. If using an Instant Ace Cooking Blender, choose the "smoothie" option. This will take 90 seconds.
- Pour, garnish if desired, and enjoy!

Variations
- Make it thinner: use a little more liquid.
- Make it thicker: use a little less liquid or more fruit. A tablespoon of chia seeds will also thicken it a bit.
- More strawberry flavor: add ½ cup more strawberries and ½ cup less mango.
- More mango flavor: add ½ cup more mango and ½ cup less strawberries.
- Non-dairy: use coconut water and dairy-free yogurt.
What Can I Put In A Smoothie To Thicken It?
Bananas are perfect for thickening smoothies. They have a subtle flavor that won't overpower the others and are a wholesome way to thicken a smoothie, make it more creamy, and to keep it all-natural. Coconut cream can be used too. Or, just add more fruit a little at a time and re-blend until the consistency you desire has been reached if you're smoothie has turned out too watery.
Smoothie Liquid Options
Depending on your flavor preference, dietary needs and what you have at home, these are some of the best liquids to use in smoothies.
- Milk
- Non-dairy milks, such as almond milk, oat milk, soy milk and coconut milk
- Coconut water
- Orange juice
- Pineapple juice
- Water/ice
Use one of these liquids or a combination for the ultimate smoothie!
Smoothie Fruit Options
The options for making smoothies are endless. Some of the best fruits for smoothies are berries and other citrus fruits.
- Strawberry
- Mango
- Raspberry
- Blueberry
- Pineapple
- Peach
- Banana (for flavor and texture)
- Dragon fruit
- Coconut
- Kiwi
- Orange
Fruits like grapes, apples, and plums don't make great smoothies because they don't blend smoothly and will leave you with chunky smoothies or those with bits of fruit floating around.
Non-Dairy Fruit Smoothie Options
To make your smoothies dairy-free choose these dairy free options. It's as simple as changing the liquid and yogurt used.
Liquids: coconut water, almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk, soy milk, pineapple juice or orange juice
Yogurt: go with plant-based yogurts, like almond milk or coconut milk yogurts.
