Graveyard Pudding Cups are fun for any school or home Halloween party, or as a spooky dessert after a mummy hot dog dinner. Chocolate pudding is topped with crushed Oreo "dirt" and decorated with candy pumpkins, bones and gummy worms. A cookie headstone makes the finishing touch. They are as exciting to eat as they are to make!
Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. From decorating the house to pumpkin picking and decorating, the fun is endless. But best of all, it means making fun food, like zombie cupcakes. This recipe was inspired by the classic cup of dirt that I loved as a kid. Why not make a spooky version?!

Ingredients and Items Needed
For our spooky graveyard pudding cups you need:
- Chocolate pudding: homemade or store bought.
- Oreo cookies: crushed and without the cream.
- Milano cookies: or a similar shaped cookie.
- Black writing icing
- Candy pumpkins
- Gummy worms
- Candy bones
- Clear plastic cups or glass desert cups: 4 to 8 ounces each.
This recipe makes 4 eight-ounce pudding cups or 8 four-ounce pudding cups.
Instructions
- Using a rolling pin or food processor, crush the Oreos into fine pieces to make the graveyard dirt. This is an optional step. You can make them with just the pudding to keep it real quick and easy.
- Fill each plastic cup with 1 cup of pudding (or ½ cup for smaller treats) and top with a layer of crushed Oreo (if using).
- With black icing, write R.I.P on each cookie to make the headstones. Stick the cookie headstone into the pudding so that it stands straight. Decorate with a gummy worm, candy pumpkin and as many candy bones as you'd like (for other ideas, check out the "variation" section below).

Serving and Storing
Serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready to serve. Graveyard pudding cups can be kept in the fridge for up to 2 days. Any longer and the cookies become soft.
Variations
- Gummy spiders are a fun addition, along with the gummy worms.
- Use vanilla pudding instead of chocolate pudding, for your vanilla lover children.
- Make graveyard ghosts with cool whip or slightly melted marshmallows.
- Use candy corn to give your pudding cups a true autumn look.
- Add candy eyeballs to make your graveyard really spooky!
Enjoy!
