This easy Baked Pears recipe combines our 2 favorite fall fruits: apples and pears! Roasted pears are stuffed with an easy apple oatmeal crisp topping, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and drizzled with maple syrup.
Making baked pears is a wonderful way to use fresh picked orchard apples and in-season pears. While apples get so much love during the fall months, pears are rarely spoken about.
Apples are fantastic, don't get me wrong. We love making apple muffins, apple nachos and apple bread during the season. A delicious slow cooked pork chops and apples dinner is also great during the fall months, but we want to give pears some love with this new recipe!

- Love apple pie? Make this hands-off apple pie filling in your slow cooker at the beginning of the season, freeze and use in your favorite fall recipes, like with ice cream, in apple hand pies and as the filling for these baked pears.
Do I Need To Cook The Apple Oatmeal Filling First?
No, the oatmeal and apple filling will cook in the oven with the pears. There is no need to cook it at all ahead of time.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut the pears in half and scoop out a hole in the center of each half, removing the core and seeds. Mix ¼ cup melted butter and ⅛ cup lemon juice in a small bowl. Baste each pear with the mixture.
- Sprinkle the pears with cinnamon sugar. Fill the center with diced apples.
- Combine the oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and remaining ½ cup melted butter in a bowl. Toss until combined well. Place a scoop of the mixture on top of the diced apples, pressing down to adhere. Drizzle with additional melted butter if desired.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, until pears are easily pricked with a fork. Drizzle with maple syrup and serve warm.

How To Serve
Baked pears are best served immediately, warm from the oven. They're delicious eaten alone or served with a scoop of ice cream. They also make a great breakfast and snack paired with apple cider or hot chocolate.
How To Store
Store in a covered container for up to 2 days in the fridge. To reheat, toast for about 5 minutes.
