Ingredients
Vanilla Fudge
Vanilla fudge is given a whole bunch of delicious sweet vanilla flavor from the frosting and it becomes creamy from melted white chocolate. Kids love it! And it's so simple for them to help make.
- Frosting: use classic vanilla frosting, not whipped or cream cheese frosting.
- White chocolate chips
Chocolate Fudge
- Chocolate frosting: again, use classic frosting and not cream cheese or whipped frosting. You can also replace the frosting with sweetened condensed milk. One 16 ounce can is needed for 3 cups of chocolate chips.
- Chocolate chips: milk chocolate chips work the best, not dark or semi-sweet.
Peanut Butter Fudge
- Frosting: classic frosting, not whipped or cream cheese.
- Peanut butter: avoid using crunchy peanut butter here.
Kristina's Tips
- Make sure to melt the chocolate chips slowly, as they can burn easily. If they burn you need to start all over. It should take 60-90 seconds total. Once most of the chips are melted, you can stop the heating process. A good stir should melt any remaining chips.

How To Make 2-Ingredient Fudge
This easy fudge recipe is made in just 3 steps.
- Line an 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper. You want to do this first because once the ingredients are melted and mixed together, you need to pour it into the pan immediately. It will harden quickly.
- In a large mixing bowl melt the chocolate chips or peanut butter, depending on the flavor of fudge you're making. Melt in 30 second increments in the microwave and mix between increments until the chocolate or peanut butter has melted. Add the frosting (also add food coloring here if using a color). You can also add a few tablespoons of sprinkles or other variations from my suggestions below. Stir until the ingredients are combined.
- Immediately pour the fudge into the parchment-lined pan and decorate with sprinkles or candy if desired. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting and serving.

Enjoy!
How Do You Cut Fudge?
To easily cut fudge, remove it from the pan by pulling it up with the parchment paper. Slowly peel the paper off of the fudge and transfer it to a serving plate. Wait a few minutes for it to come to room temperature, then use a knife to cut it into squares. If the knife doesn't slide easily into the chilled fudge, rinse the knife with hot water. Then dry it and use the warm knife to cut through the cool fudge.
Additions For Homemade Fudge
- Sprinkles
- Candy
- Candy decorations for special occasions

- Dried fruit
- Coconut shavings

- Food coloring
How To Store
Keep in a container covered with plastic wrap in the fridge until ready to serve. It will keep well for up to 7 days. Fudge can also be frozen (though the texture might change a bit) for up to 6 months.
