Notes
How To Store: store oatmeal in a covered container for up to 1 week in the fridge.Yield: you'll get about 5 to 6 cups of cooked oatmeal per 1 cup of uncooked oatmeal (as the recipe is written).Tip 1: for the oatmeal to turn out right, you must use steel cut oats - no substitutions!Tip 2: if your crockpot runs hot, use a slow cooker liner to prevent burning if you can. What Size Slow Cooker Can I Use: stick to a 3 or 4 quart slow cooker. If doubling or tripling the recipe, a 6 or 8 quart slow cooker can be used. Can I Cook It On High: I don't recommend cooking oatmeal on high as it can easily burn.Does Cook Time Change If I Double The Recipe: cooking time remains the same if doubling or tripling the recipe.
