Instructions
Prepare the apples by coring, peeling (optional) and chopping into quarters.
Place the chopped apples in the Instant Pot. Add water and lemon juice. Stir.
Close the Instant Pot lid, set the vent to "Sealing," and select the "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" function. Set the timer to cook for 15 minutes on high pressure.
Once cooking is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 15 minutes. Then manually release any remaining pressure.
Mash, immersion blender or transfer the contents to a regular blender to blend until smooth. Add more water in small amounts until applesauce has thinned to your liking.
Allow the applesauce to cool before transferring it to clean, airtight jars or containers. Refrigerate for short-term use or freeze for longer storage.
Notes
Storing: Let your applesauce cool and then transfer to glass mason jars or other airtight containers. Seal the lid tightly and store in the fridge for 2-3 weeks. It can be stored in the freezer for 6-12 months.Recipe Yield: 3-4 cups of applesauce
