This flavorful homemade enchilada seasoning beats store bought any day and is perfect for using on beef or chicken enchiladas and other Mexican-inspired recipes like soups and stews.
Mix the chili powder, dried onion flakes, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, brown sugar and salt together in a small bowl.
Store in a tightly sealed mason jar until ready to use.
When ready to use, toss 2 pounds of chicken with all of the enchilada seasoning. Cook using desired method (stovetop, slow cooker, pressure cooker). See here for how to assemble enchiladas.
