In a large mixing bowl beat the Nutella, butter and sugar on medium speed using an electric mixer until a crumbly mixture is made.
Add the vanilla extract and egg. Beat again for about 1 minute, until ingredients are combined.
Add flour, baking powder and salt. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add the milk and beat until cookie dough is smooth. Chill for 1-2 hours, but preferably overnight.
Preheat the oven to 400℉. Roll 1-2 tablespoons of chilled dough into balls and place on the cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Bake for 7-9 minutes, until the edges of cookies are set. Remove from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack immediately. Let cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
Notes
Storing: Place Nutella cookies in an airtight container or plastic storage bag and store at room temperature for 2-3 days for optimal quality. To freeze, put in a freezer safe storage bag and freeze for about 6 months. Defrost for a few hours at room temperature.
