Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (if yours has a preheating stage). Cut 3-4 slits in each hot dog and place them in the basket or on the tray without touching.
Cook for 6-8 minutes, depending on how done you like your hot dogs. If toasting the buns, add them to the air fryer with a few minutes left (or after the hot dogs are done and air fryer for 2-3 minutes).
Remove hot dogs, put into buns and top with your favorite fixings, like ketchup, relish, mustard, etc.
Notes
Tip 1: Cook in a preheated air fryer so they cook evenly and thoroughly.Tip 2: You can slice a few slits in each hot dog before cooking like I do, or skip this step. Doing so does not affect the cooking time nor taste of hot dogs.Tip 3: Use an air fryer liner for easy cleanup.Storing: Store hot dogs in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes.
