- 6 sausage patties fresh or frozen
Preheat your air fryer to 400℉ (204℃). Grease the inside of the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. *If your air fryer does not require preheating, skip doing so.
Place the sausage patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook in the preheated air fryer for 8-12 minutes, until an instant read thermometer reaches 165℉ (74℃). *Flipping is optional, but unnecessary when using an air fryer basket or tray with holes.
Remove from the air fryer, serve hot and enjoy!
Storing: Wrap the patties in foil or put in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. You can freeze them for up to 6 months.
Tip 1: Once your sausage patties reach 165℉, how much longer you cook them for is up to how crispy you want them. I cook mine for about 10 minutes total because we like our sausage browned and crispy around the edges, but not too burnt.
Tip 2: The great thing about an air fryer is that the air evenly flows around the food so there is no need to flip it when you're using the standard air fryer basket with holes or a rack (for oven style air fryers). If you're using a solid tray, you should flip the patties halfway through cooking.
