Pear Preserves Recipe

Make Pear Preserves easily in the crockpot! It's simple, you don't even need to peel the pears! This dump and go pear preserves recipe uses brown sugar, lemon juice, water and sliced pears. Slow cook in the crockpot for 10 hours and you've got scrumptious pear preserves to use on toast, pastries, or even chicken!

  • 3 lbs pears
  • cup water
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice


  • Cut the pears and discard cores.
  • Combine pears, water, lemon juice, and brown sugar in the crockpot. Set on high for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Blend with an immersion blender until mostly smooth. Set on low for 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Transfer to a mason jar and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
