The five-year old's new favorite thing is a bacon egg and cheese croissant, but from Dunkin' Donuts because apparently one of the most exciting things to do is go through a drive thru these days. It's all she wants, all day, every day.
Let's face it. We cannot eat bacon egg and cheese croissants all day, every day. A package of addicting Pillsbury crescent rolls has to do most days. Seriously though, can anyone ever eat just one crescent roll?
But that doesn't mean your croissants need to be boring! These family-friendly strawberry and Nutella croissants are incredibly simple, delicious, addicting, and budget-friendly. So when you too get sick of eating bacon egg and cheese croissant rings, you should definitely make Nutella croissants.
Confession: after making Nutella croissants for breakfast, we made cottage cheese protein waffles for lunch! We love breakfast for lunch and dinner too!
ingredients in nutella croissants
All you need to make these chocolaty Nutella croissants is Nutella spread, strawberries, a package of crescent rolls. That's it, easy peasy!
how to make strawberry nutella croissants
It's so easy to make these.
First, roll out the crescent triangles. Then spread a spoonful of Nutella on the bottom half of the triangle. Top with a couple slices of strawberry.
Then roll up the crescents as you normally would, tucking the strawberries in as you go.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 9 minutes, until they turn a nice golden brown.
What I love about filling crescent rolls with cream cheese or Nutella, is that both keep the dough very soft instead of crispy. This makes it great for kids of all ages, especially those little babies who are just getting teeth and learning to chew. Baby's love these soft and chewy Nutella croissants rather than crispy croissants.
Nutella Croissants with Strawberry
- 1 crescent dough package
- ½ cup Nutella
- 3 strawberries, sliced
- Preheat oven to 350° and grease a baking sheet.
- Unroll crescent dough and spread Nutella halfway up each croissant. Add 2 strawberry slices to the bottom of the "triangle" crescent. Roll into the crescent shape.
- Bake for 9 minutes.
Okay, so the inside of this croissant looks less-than-appetizing, but that's only because that juicy red strawberry is covered in chocolate hazelnut heaven! Trust me, you won't be able to stop eating these. A double batch is highly recommended!
